Treatment of the first genital infection with Herpes simplex virus and any subsequent recurrences.
Because of its mode of action, aciclovir does not eradicate latent viruses. After treatment, the patient will therefore remain exposed to the same frequency of recurrence as before.
Dosage ACICLOVIR BIOGARAN 5% Cream Tube of 10 g
5 applications a day.
Treatment should be started as soon as possible at the first sign of infection.
Treatment should be continued for at least 4 days for cold sores and 5 days for genital herpes. The duration of treatment should not exceed 10 days.
· History of hypersensitivity to aciclovir or any of the excipients,
· In ocular, intraoral or intra vaginal application.

The following convention has been used for the classification of adverse reactions according to their frequency:
Very common (≥ 1/10), common (≥ 1/100 and <1/10), uncommon (≥ 1/1000 and <1/100), rare (≥ 1/10000 and <1/1000), very rare (<1/10000).
· Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders:
Uncommon: Sensations of tingling or transient burning that may follow the application of the cream, dry skin, pruritus.
Rare: Erythema, eczema of contact after application of the cream.
Cases of urticaria and angioedema have also been observed
